Reverend Simon Stephens recently retired as a Royal Navy Chaplain and is visiting the family of Australian Compassionate Friends organisations in all states of Australia except Tasmania and the Northern Territory. We expect Reverend Stephen’s visit will result in increased public awareness of the support and services that The Compassionate Friends can provide to bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings.
As an Assistant Hospital Chaplain in England in 1969 The Reverend Canon Simon Stephens OBE (RN) had the insight to befriend, nurture and encourage two sets of bereaved parents to support each other. Thus began The Compassionate Friends, and from this early beginning developed what is now a worldwide organization.

We are opening our invitation to our members and members of the community who work with and assist families during a most vulnerable and distressing time in their lives.

We extend an invitation to you so that you can hear first hand from Reverend Stephens, the history of The Compassionate Friends, the extent of The Compassionate Friends worldwide and ultimately, the success of The Compassionate Friends worldwide. If you know of others in your profession who may be interested in learning more about The Compassionate Friends, book now for this ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ opportunity to meet and hear Reverend Simon Stephens.

Places are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment. If you book and find you cannot attend, please advise us so that your place can be filled.
