On the 29th September 2012 Joy our Co-ordinator and her husband John a committee member flew to Mackay to help with the Seminar the Mackay Chapter had organised for the members of Mackay Chapter.
There was very little they had to do to help as Ann Lavis the Mackay facilitator had organised everything with some help from others in the group. The guest speaker was Trish Wilson RN, BCouns, GHDSts (Loss & Grief) co-ordinates the Bereavement Support Program at the Mater Mothers Hospital and is a nurse and midwife with qualifications in counselling and loss and grief studies.
Trish is a wonderful guest speaker and she also stayed on at the Mackay Seminar and facilitated a workshop. Feedback from those who attended the Seminar was overwhelmingly positive with all saying they would like to have another one in 2013 as it was so beneficial to them in their grief journey.
We would like to thank Ann Lavis for organising such a successful seminar and the venue and morning tea was just fantastic.
