Presidents Report
Hello All
This report comes from me in the role of interim president. In the coming weeks TCFQ will seek to fill a number of board vacancies. Watch your email for further information. Full details will be provided on which vacancies are to be filled and what the roles entail. Please consider volunteering your time and talent for these vital positions.
In the meantime, TCFQ will undergo a period of consolidation, concentrating on our main events and our membership. If you have any suggestions or concerns – please do not hesitate to contact me: president@tcfqld.org.au
Those who are thinking of going to the UK for the 50th Anniversary Gathering of The Compassionate Friends, please contact Kristie in the office. TCF Australia will be coordinating the Australian attendees. It would be great to have Queensland representation!
Also be sure to put Saturday 22nd June in your diaries for our Annual Grief and Loss Seminar. We have another excellent line-up of speakers.
It will be Mother’s Day on 12th May. For some reading this newsletter, it will be your first Mother’s Day without the presence of your beloved child. Above all, remember, you never stop being your child’s mum. Use TCF to make the connections you need to help you through this time of loss and longing. As someone once said, ‘I will always love you and I will always be your mother.’
