Meet from 9:45 am—walk commences 10:15am
You are invited to join us for our 9th annual TCFQ annual Walk to Remember in New Farm Park.
Please gather from 9.45am at the bbq area near the entrance to the park at the river end of Brunswick St, as shown in the map below (click to enlarge). After the opening formalities, at around 10.15am we walk around New Farm Park past the Powerhouse to the River Landing for our Flower Ceremony. After the ceremony we walk back to where we started.
We have a bagpiper to lead us on the walk which is around 10 minutes each way over flat terrain. You are invited to stay on for a pleasant and peaceful afternoon. It’s a great way for families and friends to remember and celebrate our children’s lives. It is also an opportunity to reflect and connect with other bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents.
Bring a photo of your loved one for the walk— TCFQ will provide lanyards on the day with a plastic holder suitable for a photo up to 10cmx8xm.
There will be free face painting for children and after the walk there will be a Sausage Sizzle with water, soft drink, juice poppas and sweets for children.
Walk To Remember T-Shirts
This year you can order one or more Walk To Remember T-Shirts to wear on the day. Note that you need to order the shirts before Saturday 11th March 2023 so we have time to get them back before the walk. The shirts are $25 each and you can order them when you register below.
