Sunday 20 March 2022
New Farm Park, Brunswick St, New Farm
Meet from 9:45 am—walk commences 10:15am
You are invited to join us for the TCFQ annual Walk to Remember in New Farm Park. State member Grace Grace will join us, and we will have a bagpiper to lead the walk.
Please arrive by 9.45am near the two Moreton Bay Fig Trees on the River opposite the Rotunda, as shown in the photo below. After the opening formalities, at around 10.15am we will walk around New Farm Park past the Powerhouse to the River Landing for our Flower Ceremony. After the ceremony we will walk back to our designated area.
The walk is around 15 minutes each way and is not strenuous. You are invited to stay on for a pleasant and peaceful afternoon. It’s a great way for families and friends to remember and celebrate our children’s lives. It is also an opportunity to reflect and connect with other bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents.
Bring a photo of your loved one for the walk— TCFQ will provide lanyards on the day free to members, or for a gold coin donation.
TCFQ will put on a Sausage Sizzle and provide water, soft drink, juice poppas and some sweets for children.
For those who are staying on, please bring your chairs, hats, any other refreshments and activities/games that you and your children may like for the rest of the afternoon.
