November 2023 – Día de los Muertos

November 2023 – Día de los Muertos

Join us on Saturday 4th November 2023 from 1-4pm at the TCFQ office at 4/970 Logan Road, Holland Park West for our annual Día de los Muertos event.

Día de los Muertos is recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage and centres around the belief that every year, the souls of the dead return to earth and join their loved ones in celebration.  November 1 commemorates lost Angelitos (children or little angels) and November 2 honours adults.

The Compassionate Friends, Qld like to share and honour this Mexican tradition and borrow the theme to remember our children, siblings and grandchildren in this way.

This event is a chance for our members and friends to have an informal peaceful afternoon remembering our loved ones and sharing their memory with others so that they are not forgotten.  Traditional Mexican attire welcomed, hats, flowers, flower crown, face painting, feather hats.  Enjoy a glass of Sangria or soft drink courtesy of TCFQ.

Please bring with you

  • A photo of your children, sibling or grandchild, (not in a frame) that can be pinned to a bunting
  • A plate of your loved ones favourite food to share, or fruit
  • Any other beverage you would like to drink

Family and friends are welcome

For catering purposes please complete the form below or RSVP by 28th October to Jen at the office by email admin@tcfqld.org.au or phone 07 3540 9949
