On Sunday 14 April TCF Brisbane held their inaugural Walk to Remember.
After raining all day Saturday, Sunday dawned a bright and beautiful day – our children were definitely watching out for us.
Special guests who camxe along to support us were Robert Cavallucci MP Member For Brisbane Central and Vicki Howard Councillor for Central Ward. Shortly after 10am we set off for our walk twice around the park.
After the walk we went down to the river where a poem was read by Joy, Qld co-ordinator, before roses were distributed to everyone to throw in the river in memory of their children.
Following this we all went back to the BBQ area where Robert Cavallucci gave a short talk then we had time to mix with each other and enjoy a sausage sizzle.
The highlight of the morning was the pipe band who happened to be in the park, and upon request from us, marched down to the river and played Amazing Grace – how special!
